A Legacy of Leadership
Our owner, Matthew Hilyer, brings an unmatched level of expertise and passion to the industry. Matt’s journey began in 1999 when he became the General Manager of My Land Service, managing all sod installations for DiVosta Homes on Florida’s east coast. His natural leadership and attention to detail quickly made him a go-to expert in the field.
He went on to launch his own company, Grass Sod Master, where his crews installed sod for every major homebuilder along Florida’s west coast. In 2007, Matt co-founded Impact Landscaping & Irrigation, expanding services across four states and building a reputation for excellence and scalability. After selling that business, Matt refocused his efforts locally, bringing his leadership and seasoned team back to the west coast of Florida — where Environmental Management Services was born.
